I've heard so much buzz about this movie that I just have to watch it. The movie has no big special effects or something like that. It's a simple story of a teenage girl who got pregnant at 16 and taught of adoption for her unborn child. What is good in this movie is the script and how Juno was played by Ellen Page. Her character is different from the normal high school girls. She's smart and unique and her witty comebacks were funny. There's a little twist towards the end but I'm just going to let u just watch the movie to find out..lol.

Btw. The movie is nominated for best picture in the Oscars and best actress as well.

I like this exchange in the movie..
Juno MacGuff: I'm losing my faith in humanity.
Mac MacGuff: Think you can narrow it down for me?
Juno MacGuff: I guess I wonder sometimes if people ever stay together for good.
Mac MacGuff: You mean like couples?
Juno MacGuff: Yeah, like people in love.
Mac MacGuff: Are you having boy troubles? I gotta be honest; I don't much approve of dating in your condition, 'cause well... that's kind of messed up.
Juno MacGuff: Dad, no!
Mac MacGuff: Well, it's kind of skanky. Isn't that what you girls call it? Skanky? Skeevy?
Juno MacGuff: Please stop now.
Mac MacGuff: [persisting] Tore up from the floor up?
Juno MacGuff: Dad, it's not about that. I just need to know if it's possible for two people to stay happy together forever, or at least for a few years.
Mac MacGuff: It's not easy, that's for sure. Now, I may not have the best track record in the world, but I have been with your stepmother for 10 years now and I'm proud to say that we're very happy.
[Juno nods]
Mac MacGuff: In my opinion, the best thing you can do is find a person who loves you for exactly what you are. Good mood, bad mood, ugly, pretty, handsome, what have you, the right person will still think the sun shines out your ass. That's the kind of person that's worth sticking with.
Juno MacGuff: I sort of already have.
Mac MacGuff: Well, of course! You're old D-A-D! You know I'll always be there to love and support you no matter what kind of pickle you're in... Obviously
[nods to her belly]

I just spoke to Mike and he was telling me what he thought of the possible venues for the wedding. He went to 3 oculars Oasis, Coconut Palace and Sofitel Philippine Plaza. I called before hand so the account executives are expecting them.He was with Joan(my maid of honor), yuiki and his cousin Jeff. Good thing Joan was able to go with him to get a different perspective of the places.

Oasis-right off the bat he doesn't like it. He said garden is way too small to hold a ceremony. there's not enough space for parking and "hindi nya lang daw feel" Joan said the same thing even though Joan said the place is ok but not that spectacular. Lawn though is well manicured and the Pavillon is big enough for the reception.

Coconut Palace- he luvs the place very open daw and ok ung ambiance. Josiah's Catering was setting up already for a wedding that evening so they saw how they spruce up the place.Lawn is well manicured and he likes the privacy of the place (they only hold 1 wedding at a time).Although the inside is quite small just in case it rains and we have to hold the reception inside.Another thing is they're not accepting bookings at the moment because they're in the middle of changing management.

Sofitel Philippine Plaza- he really likes this place as well. He knows it's what I'm exactly looking for, garden ceremony with ballroom reception. Ambiance is A+ you can just feel the elegance of the place. the ceremony site is slightly elevated and really close to the shoreline of Manila bay for a more picturesque ceremony. The downside though is there's not much privacy, the guests of the hotel can easily join the ceremony and we can only book the place just 6 months before the event.Weddings are not the hotel's priority so if it happens that there's a big convention happening around your wedding date then your bump off. Also budget wise it will take almost half of our budget so, we definitely have to consider that.
